If its all about win now. To me its on the table to add a player who likely makes an instant impact -- Egbuka IMO fits that.
Against the Eagles in 2 of their 3 matchups, they shut down Terry. Mitchell seems to handle Terry well. The Eagles clearly weren't scared of any other WR. Ertz could get open against them. But who else? Egbuka is really good at getting open. He also helps the run game. And if they are in love with "brotherhood" building the best locker room -- Egbuka is off the charts on that front.

Egbuka is a fine player but pretty low ceiling. You're basically getting a #3/slot guy. If there is someone with more upside and higher chance at being an All Pro you have to take that swing. The draft is the best realistic chance at adding high end talent because the truly elite players almost never touch FA. Egbuka is a solid prospect but nothing more.
Heck, I'd rather wait until the 4th and take a Tai Felton for example.
At least he has some elite traits.

The Edge class is just so volatile. Carter will go top 5 (and even he I'm not 100% sold on as a slam dunk, i.e. Chase Young was a better prospect) but after that you have a bunch of guys that could literally go anywhere from 10-32. For example I've seen Mike Green mocked as high as Chicago at 12 and as low as Philly at 32 and he's not the only one.

This draft in general seems to be less top heavy and more deep at most positions. Which is great for us, especially if we manage to trade back a bit and pick up an extra 2nd and 3rd or something along those lines.
