I think Allen is gone next season. We save $17 million by cutting him. And we would save 17 million by cutting Payne the following season. We have a lot of money, about $116 million if we cut Jon Allen. There are not a ton of guys worth huge contracts in FA. I think we basically just spend money where the best talent is available.

What do we think about this? Seems like if the Hail Mary fell incomplete or we didn’t win vs the eagles during the 5 interception game the walk would be a lot different. We would still have a winning season but out of the playoffs on rookie QB mistakes.
