I agree. We got fleeced. He’ll get another chance next year but I’m not to confident he’ll be healthy next year.SWIM wrote: Fri Dec 27, 2024 8:55 pm Looks like that trade might be a bust…. Out again due to the same injury…. Pfft…

Then do it in the future. We could have traded for him in the offseason.
You trade for someone of that caliber during the season; you expect him to impact this season.
That hasn’t happened.
I have no faith in this guy long term. Probably ends up being the first big bust under AP.
The fact we have still have won without him; shows you the trade was unnecessary during the season. It was a move we could have a made in the offseason.

We gave them a third, forth, and we will call the 5th/6th round pick swap. With as good as we have been drafting under the new regime, I think we over paid. Especially with the third round pick.88Commanders00 wrote: Sat Dec 28, 2024 11:59 amThen do it in the future. We could have traded for him in the offseason.

Just because our rebuild is going well doesn't change that this is a rebuild.
We cut our 1st round pick corner mid-season, our #1 is 100% trash.
Lattimore doesn't have to be anything more then serviceable to be an improvement we would've needed this offseason anyone.
3rd round pick there's little evidence to show he'd be better as Lattimore is right now or can be when healthy.
Eagles game convinced me of that. He's worth not having for every game, I need him for our playoff game, that'd would hurt if he's out.
This is NOT a bust, imo. He had injury issues in NO and that'd how we got him, what did yall expect?
He's not serviceable when he can't even play consecutive games without being out. I don't know his history but if he's usually missing games due to injury then that's a bad move. You trade for someone that can become a fixture not someone spending more time on the sidelines. Yes, when healthy he is by far better than what we have. Again it all comes down to what he's able to do on the field for the Commanders. If he's still around next season and finds himself missing significant playing time again, then this will be a poor decision by AP. Time will tell though.Renegade7 wrote: Sat Dec 28, 2024 12:52 pmJust because our rebuild is going well doesn't change that this is a rebuild.
