The annual gm/coaching carousel.
Sad fact of nfl life; there’s always a gm and/or coach getting fired.

This year has already seen these in season firings:
Jets- coach and gm
Saints- coach
Bears- coach
Chicago probably needs to move on from their gm also, as you can tell there’s a poor relationship between the gm and president.
Black Monday is in 4 weeks, who else gets the ax.
Cowboys- McCarthy’s contract is up but Jerry may reup. After all, who else will want this job?
Giants- Mara said earlier he wasn’t changing but frankly they clean house. Start with a new gm, coach and qb.
Eagles- that bad undercurrent is still there. Last year it caused a collapse. This year, not yet. I think if the Eagles have an early exit; an opening occurs.
Raiders- Pierce likely will be one and done. Tom Brady will be giving advice to Marc Davis. I see a new offensive coach, to develop their qb they are likely drafting.
Jaguars- Pederson is gone. Gm likely stays. They need someone to salvage Trevor’s career.
Pats- there’s a little buzz that Mayo maybe one and done?
Probably at least 2-3 more openings. Don’t think there will be any surprises. Cincy and Miami could be spots after 25; if seasons are disappointing.

The Raiders and Jaguars seem natural.
The surprise won’t be firings but the lack of firings.
Giants are the worst team and have the number one pick. They are taking qb. They should clean house and start over with new qb, new coach and new gm. The owner seems like he will give the gm and coach a chance to get their own qb. Why? They have shown nothing other than a playoff win, 3 years ago. Why continue with someone on the hot seat for 2025? If they fail in 25, they will clean house and that’s
good for a new qb. See Chicago this year.
Dallas has been playing ok under Cooper Rush. While eliminated the Boys are 7-8. McCarthy likely has done enough to earn a new contract.

I saw this and can only think it's to comply with the Rooney rule.88Commanders00 wrote: Mon Dec 30, 2024 12:18 pm Jets are interviewing Ron Rivera for head coaching gig.

Very true. The Jets fired Pete Carroll after one season and replaced him with Rich Kotite AND made him GM. Hmmm...Maybe Rivera is a pefect fit after all. lol88Commanders00 wrote: Mon Dec 30, 2024 7:39 pmProbably, but with Jets you never know.rvaskins wrote: Mon Dec 30, 2024 7:02 pmI saw this and can only think it's to comply with the Rooney rule.88Commanders00 wrote: Mon Dec 30, 2024 12:18 pm Jets are interviewing Ron Rivera for head coaching gig.

That would be awesome. Sign me up for more years of Mike McCarthy in Dallas.88Commanders00 wrote: Tue Dec 24, 2024 9:56 am Dallas has been playing ok under Cooper Rush. While eliminated the Boys are 7-8. McCarthy likely has done enough to earn a new contract.
