Was at a hockey game on Halloween night so i had no idea ES got shut down until the next day, which shocked me. For the last year and a half i was only able to view ES without the ability to log in, so i still got to read what was being discussed regarding the team, which was nice. Definitely a kick in the nuts that just as the team was getting good again ES gets taken down.
Was also on my way to the Caps game that night. Posted in one of the Tailgate threads and went back and couldnt access the site. Little did we know it was going bye bye forever.
You mentioed in the past that your father was working on a book. Did anything ever come of that?

As for the book, i think he eventually gave up on it because he figured there wasn’t much he could really do without naming actual names, so it wouldn’t have been interesting at all. Or at least that’s what I gathered. My folks are now writing a new book, about my moms great-grandpa, who was known as the notorious bad guy of Des Moines. Got a publisher and everything.

Naming names hardly seems necessary. He could write a fairy tale about the court of Lord Farquaad and people could connect the dots.
