When ES was killed, what did you do?

I just found out ES was taken out in the back today on Reddit, because life has been going on since last year. So I followed the ES sub-reddit and see some familiar faces like Chew, Jumbo, ix, SS, sluggo and others. It's good to see the band is getting back together.

Also, I think I can speak for @Jumbo and especially TK on this one...we know it's gone. Odds are it'll never come back if it hasn't by now.

All we wanted was an answer, just a definitive "thanks, but no thanks" from the team. The mods poured their hearts and souls into that site, the members who were lucky enough to do game day coverage worked hard at it...and worked for free. I don't think we expected the new regime to understand that but pulling the plug without any warning and without any follow up as to why was the worst part.

Someone else probably owns the domain now, especially since the 2010 version pops up but is filled with links to porn. If anyone ventures there, don’t log in; just view it.


While this site may not be as big as ES, we can create a nice community here.

I started using reddit more (still use it more than I do), but reddit sucks. Each thread is just hundreds of anonymous, throw away conversations that go nowhere. Too crowded and not enough organization, reminds me of trying to talk in a crowded club with loud music.

I've been at BGO since they started (thought Bulldog was one of the great ES posters in the day), but wasn't very active at all. Joined the Warpath as well when ES went down on Halloween.

Wonder where the diehards like Califan went. Is it possible that he and others decided just to cut back from message boards....assuming they aren't on BGO?

I think we got to find a way to find them. I know someone knew skinsmarydru and I think she seemed to know a lot of the es diehards. So just got to keep plugging away. Getting China to signup would be a huge boon for the tailgate section!

Was at a hockey game on Halloween night so i had no idea ES got shut down until the next day, which shocked me. For the last year and a half i was only able to view ES without the ability to log in, so i still got to read what was being discussed regarding the team, which was nice. Definitely a kick in the nuts that just as the team was getting good again ES gets taken down.
