Ok, don't get the Oblivion Remaster yet, thing has some problems with it. Not breaking to the point of the game be unplayable, but it's ruining things for me, personally. Ok, so two things:
1. Alchemy is broken, this sucks because I made an alchemy centric character. Any alchemy ingredient that is marked as stolen will crash the game if you try to use it in a potion. Any flower, potato, etc, if its stolen it will crash the game when used to make a potion. So, you have to avoid any stolen ingredients...which is most of them.
2. The difficulty NEEDS to be fixed, its really bad. I'm playing on the hard setting, I've played the game before, I don't need the normal setting. However, that hard setting is impossible to kill anything. All of the enemies becomes unkillable bullet sponges that you have to exploit some jank to kill. I've uninstalled the game for now, it needs a patch, badly.
The Videogame Thread
I was going to do my normal, five or six short reviews, but I came across a game that must be talked about. I didn't really like Elden Ring, but I appreciated it. I kept telling myself, this would be even better if they put the mechanics of the Elder Scrolls games around it. Well, someone finally has done that and the results are amazing!
The game is called Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, I won't get into the story, I want to focus on the game mechanics. The game is being called a "scrolls like", it blends Oblivion/Skyrim like combat, in the that same universe where you talk to NPCs, take on quests, sneak into house and steal items like a Bethesda game. This game is hard to explain, thankfully there is a demo out where you can try it for yourselves.
I believe the game is out for early access, I've heard the first act is sound, but the next two acts are glitchy and crash. The game is only $45, but maybe wait for some more stability.
