And along with winning the NFL AP OROTY award (and the Pepsi zero sugar rookie of the year award due to our fans), Jayden won the award for next gen stats moment of the year! For the Hail Mary (sadly the final game that ES existed for)

I guess Ron is like the NFL coach emeritus right now. No real team to be associated with, so he's just that NFL coach guy that everyone respects. Great guy, average coach at the end of his career.

On topic, the concerns about a potential injury to Jayden are the ghosts of RGIII past. Like the stench Snyder left this franchise with (the name "Commanders") RGIII gift to us was (1) confirming that a reckless, small framed running QB will eventually get folded, (2) a running QB is not actually worth a damn unless he's able (and willing) to run, and (3) all of a running QB's awesome passing highlights are a mirage because the defense has to account for his running threat, which allowed him to make one read like he was throwing at the NFL combine.

In reality, RGIII failed because:

(1) he had a significant injury history to the same ACL while at Baylor;
(2) his second ACL tear may have occurred against the Ravens in week 14;
(3) he rushed back 2 weeks later because Kirk "I have my own radio show even though I'm a backup QB," Cousins was nipping at his heels;
(4) when his knee finally gave way less than a month after the Ravens gave, the ACL injury also included an LCL tear;
(5) he had a stereotypical "stage dad" that helped him develop a god complex;
(6) in the offseason, he developed (or worsened) his god complex with the encouragement of his dad and the blessing of Snyder, projected that onto Mike Shanahan and Kyle, and demanded drastic change to the offense that had been responsible for much of his success; and
(7) Once the season began, (I suspect) that Mike and Kyle were motivated to show both RGIII and Snyder that he could not succeed in a traditional drop back offense, and that golden boy Kirk was the answer (even though he had a rough year too).

Jayden's situation appears to be different:

(1) He does not have a history of leg, knee, or lower extremity injuries;
(2) While he has taken some hard hits, he seems to have a way of rolling with them and finding the ground;
(3) The NFL is far more sensitive to the health of its QBs, to the point where fans believe that games are "fixed" to protect them and defenders are hesitant to deliver a blows above the chest or below the quads;
(4) When other teams have keyed on the RPO stuff, he has shown the ability to make them pay by remaining in the pocket and getting to his second and third reads;
(5) Snyder is not whispering in his ear;
(6) There is no other young, up and coming QB prospect on the team, much less one with his own radio show that's boyz with the offensive coordinator;
(7) His mother appears to have stayed away from the team. But.... we'll see how she reacts when adversity hits, and it will eventually hit. The fact that he's living with her may not be a good thing, despite opinions to the contrary; Remember, she was a key player in the Arizona St. NCAA violations (she used her credit card to pay for airlines tickets and travel expenses for recruits for "informal" visits during COVID-19 restrictions. She also frequently showed up at practices. But this apparently stopped when Jayden went to LSU);
(8) He appears to have a healthy relationship with his coaches. Then again, so did RGIII until the reports started leaking about after around the time he was benched in 2013 that Shanahan head cleared out his office after the 2012 Seahawks playoff game); and finally...
(9) Did I say there's no Dan Snyder??

This is really the only thing that mattered. To think I actually defended that twerp at one point.

On a completely related note I wish Jerral Jones a long and healthy life.
