Not sure if it’s related to Trump but I haven’t seen so many ICE cars out in a long time.

PLEASE let us absorb Canada, which has roughly the same number of people (40M) with roughly the same politics as California. And absorb it with each of the 10 provinces as a state, so each get 2 senators.

Denmark is a founding member of NATO so an attack on Greenland is declaring war on the rest of NATO.

It would be the end of NATO as we know it because they wouldn't want that smoke.

I'm not advocating this, but I can't think of many things more unstoppable then an expansionist US.

Think of how hard it is to hold China accountable and ignore the size of their economy and impact on supply chains. We could potentially become that on steroids.

I just want this to all be a distraction for his cabinet positions he's about to make acting to avoid getting blocked by the senate.

I thought about this, too.

If we actually did invade this wouldn't be a democracy anymore anyway.

Being talked into joining isn't crazy, I'm jus convinced they so sick of their liberals in power they want to try a center-right approach of their own, first.

Their left is about to get their teeth knocked out in the next election.

OK, even if you can dismiss NATO as legacy, the EU is real and probably won’t take kindly to one of their members being attacked. Germany and France have already told Trump to STFU.

The irony of course in Trump’s new interest in Greenland and Canada is that because of climate change areas up near the Arctic Circle with rich oil and gas deposits are now more accessible to Chinese and Russian ice breakers. Of course climate change as we all know is fake but let’s not get the unexplained availability of new oil & gas deposits in the wrong hands.

Also, the United States does have legitimate strategic interests in Canada and Greenland but they are already our allies so threatening take them by force is an odd choice.

I can only thing that this is a message to China and Russia regarding Taiwan and Ukraine. But I don’t think Putin or Xi are taking any of chuckleheads messaging seriously.

He’ll officially have the label ‘convicted felon’, but the judge has said that the sentence won’t include any consequences, even probation.
