Good news on the RFK site. The Senate unanimously passed a bill, giving DC control of the RFK site.

This was a bill passed earlier in the year by the House. Bill was passed around 1:15am today.

Don’t know what convinced the Senators, since stadium bill was removed from CR bill.

I was glad that it passed and was worried by the last minute changes. Let’s leave political remarks to the tailgate though, in longstanding ES tradition.

The rumor is someone wiggled in there and asked all the senators to vote on this before they leave for the night.

No matter what, Harris got done in 2 years what Snyder couldn't figure out in over 20.

It helps that Harris knows what he’s doing and even more importantly isn’t a total putz like Farquaad.

It’s incredible what competent management has been able to accomplish in a short time. Snyder’s adversarial approach went nowhere.

Although, the shuttering of the Extremeskins message board is a bad failure. Their former fan message board has been abandoned and apparently already links to porn. I wonder if their IT folks care about that.

Given how they pulled the plug, I'd say who cares? ;)

Hopefully by end of the year we have a stadium site chosen and funding worked out; so they can start construction in 26 and it open by opening day 2028 or 2029.

Hard to believe that it only took 18 months from groundbreaking to opening FedEx...err, NW Stadium.

I remember 2016 when renderings for the moat palace were released. Nine years later, here we are.

Seems like Harris has been trying to build a new arena for the Sixers in Center City Philly for a while. 2030 has been thrown around for a projected date for that.

And if the Skins keep their winning ways, itll be interesting to see if the sentiment of "our existing place isnt so bad" takes hold, especially with the PSLs and higher ticket prices that are surely coming with a new facility.
