On a side note, apparently Abdul Carter asked LT to let him unretire 56.

No offense to Carter, but GTFO of here. LT remains, almost certainly the greatest defensive player in the history of the game. Carter is out of his mind, and it was an egregiously stupid way to start his Giants career. There are some numbers that you flat out don't get to wear, EVER, 23 in Chicago, 16 in San Francisco, 12 in New England, 81 in DC etc. But 56 is basically the most famous number in the history of football from the Northeast, I'd argue its more famous than Brady's 12. What an insane choice, his agent should have taken him aside and talked some sense into him.

LT (or more likely his agent) came up with a good argument for Carter: "You need to build your own legacy, 56 is far too much for any mortal to carry on his feeble shoulders" (I added the second part lol).

I just remain flabbergasted he asked. Gob smacked.

Yeah, 56 is the arguably the most famous number in NFL history. Only number I could see is as famous is 16 in SF. That's it.

Great landing spot for him.

800 year old Joe Flacco

Watson's contract while he's glued to the bench (2 years)

Kenny Pickett well predicted (certainly from me) career nose dive post mega overdrafting.

Whomever Dillon Gabriel is.

Sanders should take that job before the end of '25. Maybe by the start. There's nobody there in the way.

There's some talent at RB, but the WR's suck. They've got two nice Te's in Njoku and Fanin from this class.

It's a good spot to land, even if it's Cleveland, not exactly a glitzy town.
Browns have 5 QBs. Stuck with Watson’s contract but he will never play for them again.

Pickett or Flacco will be cut or traded. My guess Pickett is gone. Flacco will start and I agree with you, Sanders will start by end of year. Stefanski will develop Sanders the right way.

Love the Lane pick but I'll talk about him later. Focused now on RBs

This team like athletic scores. He gets almost no buzz. And he's not easy to watch because his career was mostly with New Mexico, and you got to watch their full offense on youtube. I did it for some games. And I did like Croskey-Merritt. His measurables are sick. Vertical, broad. Good size for 4.45 speed. He's somewhat of a projection because his speed. There is some PFF guy forgetting whom who loves him.

The draft media seem to forget him. He's a UDFA in a lot of simulators. We've met him a bunch.

Right? It's just crazy. The only kind of rope I'm willing to give him is that you hear all the time in the news about players selling jersey's to stars in some fashion, a punter, or backup WR, giving the star the # in exchange for like, a sweet car, or some ridiculous Jordans or cash or whatever, and maybe he's just got that story in his head and is forgetting...

#1 This is a retired number, not simply a # some player actually is currently wearing.

#2 This is the retired # of a player, much like Dexter Manley's, whose entire life has been shambles except for his football career.

#3 and most importantly, this is the most famous, in many ways, and certainly the most talented defensive player anyone has seen in the past 50 years and probably ever, and his number is retired.

Like, you don't get to wear it, period, no matter how high in the draft you go, and it's not something you'd want anyway because if he did unretire it (which would never happen), you would have to be a HOF level talent, period, to justify such an egregiously stupid, and tactless, and hubristic decision in the first place, and even then, people wouldn't give you the benefit of the doubt, you'd carry the black mark for the rest of your career unless you were basically a Reggie White level talent, which, good ----ing luck.

Your agent is supposed to talk you out of such asinine stuff. Now, any NY fan worth a ---- knows he's either an idiot, a total delusional ---hole, or both. Not a great way to start your career, and from a position that you were never going to win, anyway.

So so so stupid.
