The World Cup people need to move next year's World Cup. The U.S. is hosting most of the matches. If the other hosts, Canada and Mexico can't handle the whole thing, then move it elsewhere. Same with the 28 LA Olympics. The U.S. can't hold them. Trump will harass the athletes and other country's visitors and may not allow them in. Why allow the trump Dictatorship the honor, if he's going to treat everyone like garbage.

First, how hot are these foreign businesses that are putting out? Asking for a friend.

Second, it’s probably not possible, but I hope they do move the World Cup. Aside from the much deserved economic effects and less hassle for those traveling here to attend, it will make my work life a lot easier. Of course, that’s always the most important consideration.

Plenty of time to move LA. You can just have it in France again. World Cup probably too late to move.

'Welfare for billionaire tax cheats': Trump's IRS ditches effort to close major loophole

The Trump administration quietly announced Thursday that it is abandoning a Biden-era effort to close a loophole that allows large business partnerships to repeatedly manipulate the value of their assets to minimize their tax obligations.

The Internal Revenue Service and Treasury Department announced the decision in a notice that received little attention in the mainstream press. The notice states that the administration, guided by an executive order President Donald Trump signed in February, intends to scrap so-called basis-shifting regulations that were finalized at the end of former President Joe Biden's White House term.

As the Biden Treasury Department explained last year, it was targeting a tactic whereby "a single business that operates through many different legal entities ('related parties') enters into a set of transactions that manipulate partnership tax rules to maximize tax deductions and minimize tax liability."

You know, a lot of dictators meet a grizzly end; when their regime ends.

I suspect when the Trump dictatorship ends; he will suffer the same end. I hope to be around when that happens. Of course there will be great damage during his reign and the country will never be the same and frankly; we may not even be fully in tact, after it’s over.

Supreme Court orders Trump administration not to deport Venezuelans under Alien Enemies Act for now

The Supreme Court in the early hours of Saturday told the Trump administration not to take any action to deport Venezuelan men based in Texas it alleges are gang members.

The court did not grant or deny an application filed by lawyers for the detainees, but effectively hit pause on the case, which affects people currently held within the jurisdiction of the Northern District of Texas.

“The government is directed not to remove any member of the putative class of detainees from the United States until further order of this court,” the brief order said.

Two conservative justices, Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, disagreed with the Supreme Court decision, the order noted.
