There is no way Jerry is trading Parsons to a division team. I'm not convinced the Browns will trade Garrett.
If they're smart they will. They need to start over and get draft picks. Trading what they did for Deshaun set them back but they can blow it up and start fresh if they trade.
It would make sense to gain draft capital and start a rebuild. The problem is, they are currently more than 30 mil over the cap and a Garrett trade makes that about 16.5 mil worse. Meanwhile, they don't really have players they can just cut to make cap space pre-June 1 (Conklin would be the biggest savings, and that is only about 4.5 mil).

So the only way to be able to trade Garrett is restructures and June 1 moves, all of which push cap hits into that future they would theoretically be building towards. And right now, in 2026 they have over 180 mil committed to only 4 players (Watson, Denzel Ward, Jerry Jeudy and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah) plus dead money hits on contracts that void. (Not counting Garrett's 20+ mil for that year because the discussion is trading him)

I could see the Bengals at least trying to get something for Higgins via a tag-and-trade. If he's that sought after then I assume some teams would be willing to part with a high draft pick for him.

Being where I live (SF East Bay), I watch a lot of Niners games. Mooney Ward would be my #1 FA choice this offseason. Pair him up with a healthy Lattimore and keep Sainristil as the slot corner.

I also think Greenlaw and Hufanga would be upgrades, albeit with injury history concerns.

I think I'd target Hollywood Brown in free agency.

Heck, I'd target Darius Slayton as well.

Speed and more speed.

Ward was on my list as well. He didn't play as well as he is capable last year which could lower the cost.

Fwiw, he and his girlfriend lost their 1 year old in November.

I have these three Niners are very high on the AP watch list. I expect at least one of them to be in Washington.
