Yeah, I see very few news outlets posting this as a win for Trump. Most are either explaining how Canada and Mexica took his lunch, the rest are just reporting on what happened (the offered border patrol, Mexico wants weapons out, the end) in a neutral way. Of course it doesn't matter to his supporters, but this was Trumps best chance at an optic win and no one is falling for it.

Its taken a few months, but I'm finally able to watch these again:

This is exactly what I expected of him and Apartheid Clyde and why I’m expecting an economic meltdown of some sort before it’s over. This country runs on myriad complex systems, many of which are interconnected. Screw up a few too many things, and it ain’t gon be pretty.

Ok, this scares the hell out of me!

Trump signs order establishing a sovereign wealth fund that he says could buy TikTok

President Donald Trump on Monday signed an executive order that outlines plans for a government-run sovereign wealth fund to serve as an economic development tool and perhaps be used to buy TikTok.

Among the aims for the fund would be developing infrastructure such as airports and highways, and it could help the U.S. extend its influence in areas such as Panama and Greenland.

“We’re going to stand this thing up within the next 12 months. We’re going to monetize the asset side of the U.S. balance sheet for the American people,” U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said during a media parley. “There’ll be a combination of liquid assets, assets that we have in this country as we work to bring them out for the American people.”
He's going to steal our money, create a slush fund and use it to launder as well. If that wasn't bad enough, he's going to over pay for TikTok (like Elon and Twitter), bankrupt America and use TikTok as state run media.

About 30 or 40% of Democrats are still unwilling to realize it's a party issue. More need to revolt against the old guard.

What Trump is doing sucks but Democrats had every chance to stymie and derail him, and just moved aside. Like, they did not even offer a path of resistance. The best chance they had to arrest Trump, the AG blew the case off for 2 years, appointed a special counsel that didn't do shit and "let the clock run out".

Talk about horrific time management.

The Dems are no different than gop in wanting power and refusing to give it up. They just aren’t as ruthless and dirty.

They had over 20 candidates in 2020 and you tell me they couldn’t find a candidate better than Biden. After Bernie won the first primaries; they freaked out and the old guard coalesced on Biden; around the time of SC primary.

We needed a fighter these past 4 years and Biden wasn’t it. I said in 2020 he was too old.

Now we are stuck with an insane person, who’s basically giving the richest person in the world; the reigns over government.

Don’t know what state we will be in, in 28. We already know, if he’s still alive in 28; he’s going to refuse to go. His successor, Vance is a ChristoFacist and we know what he would try to do; if he ascends to the presidency.

The Dems need to be opposing now. It’s true they are limited in what they can do. They can present an opposing front and point out the impact of everything Trump is doing. I see very little of that. If they need Dems votes to get anything passed; you maximize the leverage you have.

The moment the gop loss in 20; they’ve been working on regaining power and a blueprint- Project 25, on what they want to do.

The Dems need to do that. Have a plan to retake the reigns at all levels, local, state and national. This plan must be implemented for every election from now to 28 and remain; if you do win.

Also, the must put up candidates against all the old guard. The old guard must be replaced. Primary everyone. No, not everyone will be defeated but you need a new generation to fight Trump/GOP opposition.

Right now, I say the gop is winning in 28 and if that happens; it’s a permanent realignment. Only thing preventing that, is if the Trump 2 era is such a clusterf**k and people feel real pain; they vote Dem.

The old guard refuses to give up power and retire. We just saw it, with Biden. He should have dropped out in late 23; given the Dems to find the right candidate. Kamala was never it because she was tied to the administration. She chose not to completely distance herself from Biden. Americans were never going to vote someone from an administration they hate. If they had a primary, Kamala would never be the nominee.

A great article that points out how British conservatives have essentially been playing “Stop hitting yourself” with their constituents, who then continue to ask for more. Sound familiar?

FBI agents sue Justice Department, alleging 'retribution' over their work on Jan. 6 cases

Two groups of unnamed FBI agents who participated in Jan. 6 investigations have sued the Justice Department, claiming they were instructed to fill out a survey about their roles, if any, in those cases or in the investigation into Donald Trump's possession of documents marked classified at his Florida home between his terms as president.

In one suit, nine FBI agents argue that the specific purpose of the survey "is to identify agents and other FBI personnel to be terminated as a form of politically motivated retribution," according to their complaint, which was filed in U.S. District Court in Washington.

“Plaintiffs assert that the purpose for this list is to identify agents to be terminated or to suffer other adverse employment action," the complaint reads. "Plaintiffs reasonably fear that all or parts of this list might be published by allies of President Trump, thus placing themselves and their families in immediate danger of retribution by the now pardoned and at-large Jan. 6 convicted felons."

The agents have been informed they are “likely to be terminated in the very near future” for their work on the Jan. 6 and documents cases, the complaint continues.

“They intend to represent a class of at least 6,000 current and former FBI agents and employees who participated in some manner in the investigation and prosecution of crimes and abuses of power by Donald Trump, or by those acting at his behest,” lawyers Pamela Keith and Scott Lempert write in the complaint.

I guess we still haven’t learned our lesson in the decades we’ve spent in the Middle East. Going to own Gaza? Aside from the moral and ethical questions it poses, it sounds like a horrible way to send American soldiers into another meat grinder.
