Very sad.

Seems weird that they would all be found dead at the same time, unless there was carbon monoxide poisoning or something.

Foul Play Is Not Suspected in Gene Hackman’s Death, Authorities Say

An investigation was underway on Thursday after the prolific actor Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were found dead along with their dog at a house in New Mexico, the local authorities said.

The bodies of Mr. Hackman, 95, and Ms. Arakawa, 64, were found by sheriff’s deputies in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Santa Fe on Wednesday afternoon, the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. The couple had lived in the Santa Fe area for years.

The deputies went to the home after a neighbor requested a welfare check on the couple, the sheriff’s office told a reporter from KOB, a local broadcaster. Their bodies were not formally identified until early Thursday.

That was the first thing I thought of when the initial reports ruled out foul play.

Also RIP to Hickory High's greatest basketball coach.

Rip to a legend. Posieden Adventure was one of my favorites as a kid.

We talked about it in the RTT a few years ago, there are quite a few heavyweight legends of Hollywood in their 80s/90s and it's gonna be a tough run over the next 5-10 years with them passing.

Really sad to hear this news earlier today. He was great.

It's not his finest work, but I absolutely loved him in Enemy of the State.

I don't buy the line that no foul play was involved when his wife and dog were found there, too. Carbon monoxide is a likely culprit if indeed there was no foul play involved and that's still a terrible thing.

According to reports, the wife's body was found near a space heater with partial decomp and mummification of her hands.
