I hate Trump more than any man alive. I also rely on Social Security as I am retired. I don't and will never believe my social security check will disappear, the problem is if there is an issue nobody will be home to help me. Yes the market may dip, but to claim anyone's entire retirement account will "disappear" is just not logical.

In short I agree with your position with regard to Trump and Elon. But telling your boss that his retirement account will disappear only hurts your credibility IMO.

I said his retirement accounts will disappear with the stock market, if you don't think they can't go lower...they can. You think your SS check will always come? Challenge accepted! They're coming for it, just because you don't think they won't doesn't mean its hands off. It was barely a year ago that the GOP was balking at Biden for even suggesting that the GOP would go after SS...yet here we are.

Same with SS. You think the GOP who still needs to get votes to continue, will allow SS payments to cease or be reduced? No that's not going to happen either, they are cutting overhead not benefits. Seniors are a huge voting block and no party who wishes to continue will alienate this large group. And stopping SS benefits will definitely do that.

You would think, yet here we are. The GOP is all set to do away with it, they seem to be afraid of their voters, but are still willing to do Trump's bidding. What is Trump's bidding? Kill SS. You seem to think morality, legality or common sense is going to stop the GOP from doing it. Yet, here we are. People need to stop writing imaginary lines in the sand and saying "They'll never cross THIS line!". Yes they will, in fact, they're saying "Watch us!".

The gop is loving what Musk is doing. He’s providing them cover; so they don’t actually have to do it themselves .

The gop isn’t going to stop Musk , unless their voters actually go after them and their families. Then they might halt things. Trump and Musk aren’t immune to any potential violence.

Trump calls arrest of Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil ‘first of many to come’

Donald Trump said on Monday that the arrest of a prominent Palestinian activist who helped lead Columbia University’s pro-Palestinian protests last year, is the “first arrest of many to come”.
