The harsh reality is that no President has really ever affected my day-to-day Republican or Democrat. I endured 4 years of Trump and it was mostly the media and scandals which he didn't end up being impeached for. I guess the best argument for a president affecting my Day to Day was Biden who hastened recovery post-COVID but other than that what else.

So the sun will come up tomorrow, with a new president. And my life likely will not be affected at all, my day to day. I will still go to work, I will still follow hockey and football after work, I will go to bed and the sun will come up Tuesday again.

Some of you want to try and salvage this, I think we should do the opposite. People are going to fight Trump, I'm not saying they shouldn't and I wouldn't try to stop them, but I would let Trump do whatever he wants. I hope Trump runs his nuts across this country and puts it so far into the ground that Maga can't defend him. I want it so bad that Maga becomes a bad word, when people mention trump, I want the next reaction to be a scoff. As soon a Maga realizes they are screwed worse than ever and Dems stop looking to the courts, Ernst and Collins to save them, maybe we can have actually change.
MAGA is already defending him. These people can't be reasoned with.

You wait and see. Anything bad that happens won't be his fault...he'll have been set up to fail, he inherited a mess, etc.
I haven't seen a lot of Maga defending him, I've seen a lot ask him to NOT do some of his promises. I've seen get mad at broken promises, but not a lot of defending...not online though.

Even so, they can lick his nuts all they want, as long as they suffer like the rest of us.
they'll have to shove Zucker and Bezos out of the way to get a taste... each already have a nut in puckered lips

11 hours until our hell begins.

Other than maga/republicans; there won’t be that many watching his inauguration today. About half the country, still despises him.

I’ve cut paying that much attention to politics. Probably down to 10-15% and that’s mostly thru reading an article on the internet or listening to
Podcasts that cover it. David Pakman, Ring of Fire/ Farron Balanced, Bulwark, TYT, The Rest is Politics US and The Lincoln Project.

I rarely watch anything on cable anymore and don’t really listen much to the shows SiriusXM’s POTUS Channel.

Biden issued preventative pardons after all; to guard against Trump going after them. Faucci, Miley. Cheney and rest of Jan. 6 committee.

It is what it is. It sucks, I don't like it...but I'm certainly not going to let Trump define my days over the next 4 years. I'm sure there'll be plenty of WTF moments and moments to hate him but I've got shit to do and can't really worry about what an asshole he is. I refuse to think of this as "hell."

I had a similar experience when I said that Harris likely couldn't win because she would have to sweep the Rust Belt given it was likely Georgia and Arizona were flipping back to Trump, and all those stats were coin tosses in the polls (which tends to favor Democrats in Presidential contests), but was pretty much ignored.

Well, it's a good idea to expect to be unappreciated when you're right about a testy topic. 😝😁
