Exclusive: Early US intel assessment suggests strikes on Iran did not destroy nuclear sites, sources say
The US military strikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities last weekend did not destroy the core components of the country’s nuclear program and likely only set it back by months, according to an early US intelligence assessment that was described by three people briefed on it.

The assessment, which has not been previously reported, was produced by the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Pentagon’s intelligence arm. It is based on a battle damage assessment conducted by US Central Command in the aftermath of the US strikes, one of the sources said.

The analysis of the damage to the sites and the impact of the strikes on Iran’s nuclear ambitions is ongoing, and could change as more intelligence becomes available. But the early findings are at odds with President Donald Trump’s repeated claims that the strikes “completely and totally obliterated” Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth also said on Sunday that Iran’s nuclear ambitions “have been obliterated.”

I wonder how the looks at Trump vs the US itself sometimes...clearly we elected him, but he's arguably one of the worst and dumbest of us...

I trust Mossad to have the best intel on the state of the Iranian nuclear program. Being that they agreed to a cease fire suggests to me they have intelligence that indicates Irans nuclear program has been adequately set back…

Of course, if the ceasefire ends right after the end of the NATO summit then I guess we can circle back.

I doubt there are many on the ground assessments so the assessments going around now are assessments being made based on previous assessments about fordow and the mops capabilities rather than any direct intelligence. And any chatter within Iran is likely to be denial anyway

At the end of the day if we got even a chance to destroy Irans nuclear program with the mops (and test them in a real scenario) without suffering any major regional instability that is a major success.

Even if Iran’s nuclear program hasn’t been completely destroyed its military and ballistic missile program has been set back severely. Iran lost its entire chain of command.

Still early days to determine the full impact of the strikes but so far there is little downside.

The fears about Iran digging deeper and rebuilding its nuclear program are a little far fetched to me. It took them 40 years to get this far. And now they will be under snap back sanctions with their only real trading partner being China. And China has no interest in a strong Iran. Especially when the remaining middle eastern countries and India (who China has much more interest in) dislike Iran.

Iran is cooked.

Israel killed at least 14 scientists in an unprecedented attack on Iran's nuclear know-how

Israel's tally of the war damage it wrought on Iran includes the targeted killings of at least 14 scientists, an unprecedented attack on the brains behind Iran's nuclear program that outside experts say can only set it back, not stop it.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Israel’s ambassador to France said the killings will make it “almost" impossible for Iran to build weapons from whatever nuclear infrastructure and material may have survived nearly two weeks of Israeli airstrikes and massive bunker-busting bombs dropped by U.S. stealth bombers.

“The fact that the whole group disappeared is basically throwing back the program by a number of years, by quite a number of years," Ambassador Joshua Zarka said.

But nuclear analysts say Iran has other scientists who can take their place. European governments say that military force alone cannot eradicate Iran's nuclear know-how, which is why they want a negotiated solution to put concerns about the Iranian program to rest.

“Strikes cannot destroy the knowledge Iran has acquired over several decades, nor any regime ambition to deploy that knowledge to build a nuclear weapon," U.K. Foreign Secretary David Lammy told lawmakers in the House of Commons.

“Blueprints will be around and, you know, the next generation of Ph.D. students will be able to figure it out," said Mark Fitzpatrick, who specialized in nuclear non-proliferation as a former U.S. diplomat. Bombing nuclear facilities "or killing the people will set it back some period of time. Doing both will set it back further, but it will be reconstituted.”

Iran’s Supreme Leader Claims Victory Over U.S., Israel in First Statement Since Strikes on Nuke Facilities

The supreme leader of Iran has declared victory over the U.S. and Israel in a series of X posts Thursday — his first public statement since American forces bombarded several nuclear facilities with bunker-busting bombs.

“I offer my congratulations on the victory over the fallacious Zionist regime,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei posted to X Thursday.

“My congratulations on our dear Iran’s victory over the US regime,” he added. “The US regime entered the war directly because it felt that if it didn’t, the Zionist regime would be completely destroyed. It entered the war in an effort to save that regime but achieved nothing.”
