Technically, there is "politics" in some of the content here in this thread, and it's very hard to have this topic open and not have that be the case.

One reason we stopped even discussing the name change in any forum on OG ES was that fact, added to the reality that everyone was just repeating the same stuff ad infinitum and there was really nowhere for the topic to "go." It would just be an endlessly revolving crap fest.

But speaking just for myself, I was going to be more flexible on this here on ExComm and see how it went.

However, I just deleted a post where the author went overboard in indulging himself in expressing his sociopolitical views on the name change and saying "I'll probably be banned for this" at least twice before he made each additional political aspect he "needed to share."

Whenever someone says "I'll probably be banned for this..." and then goes ahead anyway I'm usually tempted to honor his effort at self-immolation for several reasons, but I didn't in this case. Nor will I name him as he's not had any other missteps here.

But for however long this thread is open, I strongly encourage everyone to kindly use real effort to avoid all the political angles or at the least keep it to the absolute minimum.

Didn’t see a uniform thread on here yet, so posting this here. Team revealed the alternate jerseys today. These will be worn on SNF vs Seahawks, SNF vs broncos, and Christmas Day vs cowboys. Looks just like the uniforms of the past!

I think these will comeback permanently in the future. I like that they brought it back, should have never left it.

Wish we could have brought the spear logo with it but I get that we wanna avoid the Native American imagery. We could have made it more Roman Gladiator-ish though.

Yeah, I'd just wish those weren't alternates, but our official jersey.
Still a way in the right direction. and as somebody else said, I believe they'll get back to this uniform in the near future. There was absolutely no need to change the whole uniform look when the previous owner made the rebrand.

As far as the logo, I'm no big fan of roman gladiator style, but would still welcome anything that is not that ugly "w".

I notice the theme that the team wants to go back to the redskins name and branding is becoming a hot topic the last few days, yielding multiple articles from multiple sources though nothing substantial underpins them--- just their printed speculative take.

But it gets kind of persuasive after awhile, at least in terms of the team maybe testing the waters and being desirous of actually doing so if it would be embraced enough.
