That's right, pops and I do text and he and I see eye to eye on Jordan.Renegade7 wrote: Sun Mar 09, 2025 2:11 pmFunny how everything has to be picking a team and all the baggage with it on any particular topic. Easier to shot a fish once you put it in a barrel you're familiar with.
@Spaceman Spiff you and my Dad must of been carpool buddies and still text each other.
He stands no matter what that Prime Jordan is better then Prime LeBron and he'll always be better because of it no matter how many career boxed get checked.
Too early to say Prime Joker is better, but I'm listening. That doesn't mean either will have a better overall career then LeBron or still playing at this level in their 40s.
BTW, I watched Celtics scrape them Lakers last night, that was sad, but doesn't change my position we laughing about now.
Marveling at LeBron playing at this level into his 40s is a bit overrated. Note that I didn't say it was bad, or that he's bad...just that it's overrated. Every generation or so you get a guy in any sport who plays forever and does it at a high level. Kareem was still good into his late 30s. Nolan Ryan struck out 300 batters at age 42 and then lead the league in strikeouts at age 43. Ovechkin is 39 and about to break a record that no one thought was possible, he's still scoring goals at an amazing clip. Tom Brady, enough said.
With sports medicine the way it is and treatments constantly evolving, you're going to see more of this stuff.
But let's get back to Jordan and dunking on LeBron...in his last season in the NBA, Jordan played in all 82 games and played 37 minutes per game. That'd be top 5 this year and most every year.
