Is Drake done? How does he come back from this?
Not that I really care too much, but I do find the whole thing interesting. If I'm listening to rap these days, I'm mostly listening to what I listened to in high school and college. That said, I always found Drake to be corny.
Kendrick has crushed that dude's soul. There's no retort, there's no diss track coming back at Kendrick...Drake's running towards lawsuits and away from the fight. And with what Kendrick did at the Super Bowl halftime show....damn. No pun intended. Everything from teasing about playing Not Like Us, to actually playing it, to changing up the new lyrics in the beginning of the song, to looking straight at the camera and saying "Hey Drake, I hear you like 'em young" to the crowd yelling "a minor" to having Serena out there crip walking to the crowd spelling GAME OVER in lights...I mean, holy shit.
That's the atom-bomb of ending a rap battle.

As a side note, I think this was the worst Superbowl ever. Boring as hell (a blowout), with two teams nobody likes, and "entertainment" that wasn't entertaining.

From what I've seen, more people watched this halftime show more than any other since Michael Jackson in '93.China wrote: Wed Feb 12, 2025 1:31 amPeople still watch the Superbowl halftime show?Spaceman Spiff wrote: Tue Feb 11, 2025 9:52 amIs Drake done? How does he come back from this?

It wasn't the biggest blowout in SB history, but I agree it was really boring.

Not my kind of music but I thought it was an impressive show.
I do wonder why incredibly successful people each worth hundreds of millions dollars care about who is ‘dissing’ who.
Commentators saying Serena (who showed up dressed in tennis gear so people would recognize her) doing her little shuffle was ‘diabolical’.
Middle-school vibes.

...Say Drake, I hear ya like them young
You better not ever go to cell block one
To any b*tch that talk to him and they in love
Just make sure you hide your lil sister from him
And that's just the first verse.
