Can I just say, I'm a little butt hurt about the whole two weeks thing. I said that a long time ago and NOW people are just getting on board, just proves that I've never been wrong about anything in my entire life.

Now, before the OTHER thing he always says get pointed out to the public, let me bring it to your attention first: Have you guys noticed that he also always offers everyone five thousand dollars for everything? A mother who just had a baby? We'll give you $5k! DOGE return checks? $5k! Steel workers will get a bonus from the selling of US steel...wanna guess how much?

He's right, although not about Federal holidays. Southern states really need to stop celebrating Confederate Memorial day.


I've been saying this for a while. The Dems need to be using the same tools and tactics as the Grand Oligarch's Party. Newsome, Crockett, and a few others get it. We need more.

They need to take it a step further and use their political tactics as well. I want gerrymandering, election challenging, voter purging, refusing to appoint members, etc. I want everything on the table, at worst, it works for us. At the best, GOP takes it court, wins and the law gets changed to what it should be. We're never going to win with the way Dems fight...

I've been calling for this for some time as well. They also need to start using the Grand Oligarch's Party playbook on "neutral" policies that achieve certain objectives without calling it as such, e.g., school "choice" instead of resegregation. That said, DOGE and the current budget have/will accomplish some of my desired outcomes like punishing the hell out of rural 'Muricuh, so they're giving us a head start on that.

Unfortunately, my money says they do what they've always done, win elections, then do little or nothing to fix the underlying problems that allow the Republiklans to continue recreating the US in the image of the antebellum southern aristocratic system.

I was watching a video on youtube, a guy talking about how the ratings were down the NHL. Long story short, he said that hockey was one of the few professional sports where you're allowed to fight. A lot of teams have a lot of bad blood between them and the NHL should advertise that to get butts in the seats, but it shouldn't be the focus of the game. "Come for the spectacle, stay for the skill" as he put it. I think Dems need to do that as well, politics as I know and love it are dead. We all know the meat and potatoes of politics is slow, long and boring as hell. I want to see the dems exaggerate, hell, even lie a bit. Get people in the voting booth, win and make their lives better.
