Could spend a day picking it apart, but the bottom line is we're too old and slow to compete in the playoffs. See what they come up with for next year. Hail!! ;)

Yeah we've done a good job rebuilding/reloading after the '18 Cup run but there is work to be done yet.

Feels like we're always the big but slow team in the playoffs. I want speed.

Yea, we've done good staying relevant. Need some higher end talent though, somehow. Oshie was the last "superstar" we got and that was 10 years ago. And the "big team" they like to call us is actually pretty soft. Wilson, Duhaime, Fever, (Ovi on occasion) are about the only ones that will "hit" like you need to, regularly, to disrupt other teams speed. See what they do in the offseason..

Is it weird to anyone else, how pedestrian the Panthers are making the Hurricanes look? Panthers play a very similar style game to the Caps, but I guess they're just that much better at it than us. Little bit tougher, little bit faster, little bit more talent. And they don't disappear in the post season, which seems to be a staple for the Caps. Anyway, through 40 minutes last night the Hurricanes had 7 shots on goal. Have lost 2 straight at home. Something the announcers said was impossible when we played them.

I've been watching the highlights, the Canes are playing their type of game, but look completely ineffective. They even pull their goalie because he was getting creamed. All the Canes had to do was wait us out, we could never get it in the goal, got really close a lot of times...but you see where that gets you. The Canes can't sit back and just overwhelm, Florida can actually score.

No, the Hurricanes aren't that talented. They were just well-coached. The Caps are the opposite. The Panthers are about as talented as the Caps, but have better coaching. That is why they are throttling the Hurricanes
