I thought the technicial foul on Reese after the dunk was sort of horseshit. He yelled but it didn't sound like he said anything vulgar or at the ref. There were a couple iffy calls but nothing horrible imo.
Maryland showed a lot of noise, particularly after Nebraska hit a miracle 3 heave with the shot clock running down. The guards are really good shooters from beyond the arc, but they can all dribble drive to the rim too. Gillespie, Rice, and Miguel all had some big shots in the final two minutes to keep the lead.
And Derik Queen keeps impressing me. He crashes the boards really well and had at least three tip-ins. Great body control on fadeaways. He has a solid all-around game.
The lack of bench production is a bit concerning, hopefully the starters don't lose gas in March.

Another Quad 1 road win, and another big performance from Queen. Has five games this season now with 20+ points, and 10+ rebounds…most in the nation by a freshman. One more than Cooper Flagg. I’d love to have him around for another year, but he’s playing his way into a lottery pick.
Starting 5 is balling, and if they stay fit, and out of foul trouble, they can play with anybody. Need Gapare back to give good minutes when Queen or Juju needs a rest, and need DHS to get his head on properly, and start playing the way I know he can. He’s starting to become a liability out there. He’s got the talent, just needs to get his head right.
Three straight home games upcoming. Need to make a big run to grab one of those top 4 seeds, and double bye in the conference tournament.

Im not that miffed about Williams leaving, although this is a bit late. I think the reporting is correct, and Williams knew he was a goner. If that’s the case, I would hope Locksley had some guys in mind. Williams was just okay, IMO, and I’m hoping for a much more aggressive approach from the new coordinator. Locksley can recruit talent, be nice to see a guy who can utilize it to better effect.

Well Brave, I’m guessing you weren’t disappointed. What a second half performance! Team seems like it is really starting to gel. Queen just a bucket short of another 20-10 game. Iowa was game for a half, but just couldn’t keep up when the Terps turned it up second half.
7 of last 8, and USC coming to Xfinity Thursday night. Gonna need to stay hot to have any chance at top 4, as everyone else is hot too.

The only thing I was disappointed in was the lack of students at the game. All of the paid tickets were ~85% full, but the Wall was sparsely populated....such a sad state of affairs when students can't bother to show up for free to see their top 25 ranked team play a conference opponent on a long weekend at 5pm.
We used to have to go to football games and attend at least a half to get priority for basketball tickets during the Vasquez years and before. What has happened to the student fandom? Its pathetic. The Xfinity Center is an awesome place to watch a game and it is on campus near housing. They have no excuse.
