All us ESers were scattered about on Election Night, but lets face it, today is the real depressing day. He got away with it:

I would be worried if I was him when he visits and is surrounded by Capitol Police Officers … the ones who were fighting for their lives on1/6/21 because of his actions.

If you have enough then you can afford to take less risk. But a mix of cash for the short term to ride out any storms and then bonds and equities, domestic and international, to provide future growth and money on the time horizon that you want it.

Just don’t let your advisor sell you annuities or shit you don’t need with high fees.

And before you commit to anything, you can post your portfolio questions at www.Bogleheads.org and get excellent feedback.
We're working with a fee-only planner so hopefully, that kind of crap shouldn't come into play. Most of what we need from her is running the numbers on various "what if" scenarios with an asset allocation plan for each, tax planning for here and abroad, and some estate planning. One of your posts on ES pushed me over the line to being a full Boglehead some years ago, so I'll instruct her to use index funds. If she proposes the funds that are made up of other mutual funds, we may just keep it pushing and find someone else. Those are definitely one of my biggest pet peeves. "Hey fella. How about a basket of funds that amount to a lousy index fund that doesn't perform up to the index with extra fees and a cherry on top?" Uhhh, how about, no? :x

Trump 2’s America is probably part of the new axis of evil that the world might have to take action against.

If Trump really tries to invade Panama to take control of the Panama Canal, invades Greenland to take it over and attack Denmark, and invades Canada to make it the 51st state; the world will have to unite against the United States.

Will Russia and China unite with Donny or will they form an alliance with everyone else , to defeat the United States.

MAGA was saying Biden was bringing us to WW3 when it could well be Trump who does that; except the U. S. Will be the enemy, everyone has to defeat.

Folks think it's a joke taking over these territories by force, but who's gonna stop him if he's serious???

No one.

Who can?

No one.

I don’t think US military will be involved.

I think his Canada and Greenland posturing is the same ol’ leaving NATO bullshit. He wants them both to spend way more on defense to help minimize Russian and Chinese threats. And probably to agree to more shared intel or US tracking sites.

As for Panama he’s negotiating lower transit rates.

It’s tiresome that POTUS acts like a dumb bully as a negotiating tactic. I’m sure it’s opening doors for China, Russia and others.

And Putin is looking over and thinking ‘we don’t even need to claim a territory has Nazis before we invade’?

Denmark is a founding member of NATO so an attack on Greenland is declaring war on the rest of NATO.

I take him at his word.

He’s doing it to follow his hero, Vladimir. He loves what Vladimir did by invading Ukraine and when China finally invades Taiwan, he’ll like that too.

He’s emulating the dictators he admires. He’s also looking for a legacy and expanding the U.S. falls under that.
