Extreme Commanders

Land of Bad on Netflix. Small team of special forces guys go deep into the Phillipino jungle on a rescue mission and everything goes to shit. We switch back and forth from the team on the ground (Liam Hemsworth, Milo Vent) and their escort predator team with eyes in the sky at Nellis AFB (Russell Crowe). Lots of jungle gunfights, truck-mounted LMGs, some knife work, and at least 100 RPGs fired LOL.

It basically feels like a remake of Behind Enemy Lines with Hemsworth as Owen Wilson and Crowe is Gene Hackman.

Put on your headphones or surround sound for this one. It's fun.

Just finished watching Back in Action on Netflix. It was alright for a spy movie with kids. I give it a 5 out of 10.

Saw Flight Risk yesterday. It gets a B-.. It was ok.

Arcadian, with Nic Cage.

In the near future on a decimated Earth, Paul and his twin sons face terror at night when ferocious creatures awaken. When Paul is nearly killed, the boys come up with a plan for survival, using everything their father taught them to keep him alive.

It was decent, i was entertained. Pretty cool and original monster design.

Transformers One was awesome

Saw the latest robot flick, Companion. You actually root for the robot in this one. Gets a B-.

Also saw the Amazon Prime romcom, You’re Cordially Invited. Gets a B-.

Finally got around to seeing The Covenant. I heard it was pretty good but it was better than I was expecting. Balls to the wall Afghanistan action with Jakie Pooh and his interpreter deep in Taliban territory. Definitely worth a watch.

Fake Bond Rumor. Keep seeing pop up on my feed that Henry Cavill is the new Bond. It’s false.

Eon Productions are nowhere near picking a Bond or even having a script for Bond 26.

Eon is currently in disagreement with Amazon, new owner of MGM; over the direction of the Bond franchise and the type of actor to play Bond.

Amazon wants to MCU/DCCU Bond and the Broccolis don’t want to do that. Also the Broccolis prefer to cast an unknown and it appears Amazon wants a known star.

So expect the hiatus to be longer than the one between License to Kill and Goldeneye.

Also, Cavill’s Casino Royale screen test leaked and he sucked.

Saw Captain America 4: Brave New World. I liked it. The story was decent. Gets a B.
