Maybe we're watching the blowback/indictment of Dieon's media whore image and how little f.o.s want what they figure will be constant distractions and endless media focus on one player (and his dad). Think rg3s dad on super steroids.
Even if deion was uncharacteristically laid back and kept a low profile in this circumstance (unlikely), the coaches might also be considering how their own local media would probably be all over every up and down of shadeur being the center of attention all the time and not in a productive way.
If such things are in play, I think he'd have to be a much better top tier type QB prospect then he's generally thought to be.
Just a hunch, knowing humans.
