Raiders gave Seattle a 3rd rounder for Geno Smith.
So they basically got a 3rd back that they gave up for Howell. They are picking 18th in the draft so I guess they are going to start Howell then? That would be an interesting move indeed.
Unless they have their eye on Kirk Cousins... hmmmm

Sone think it’s Sam Darnold.
They should tank with Howell and get Archie Manning in 26 draft.

Or the Vikes could give him a nice 1 year deal since they don't know how well J.J. do as a full time starter and they would need a good backup.
We won a lot of games with Howell so that is not a sure bet that they will be able to just tank for Archie.
Time will tell in the next few weeks though in which direction the Hawks are going in.

Arthur Blank has agreed to meet with Cousins, who's said is going to tell him he wants to go to a team where he can start. It's a messy QB situation this year. A number of teams have needs, some in complicated positions, and short on really good answers.

PFT said Vikings could sign Rodgers. The question is, does Rodgers have enough in tank for Vikings to be a playoff team? That would give Mccarthy time to learn and not rush back from injury. The pressure would less on Mccarthy. Mccarthy can do mop up duty and if Rodgers falters, take over starting job.
Aaron can end his career and a good note and not let the Jets disaster be the final postscipt in his career.
Giants, Titans could go veteran route and not use their top pick on QB. Steelers need a veteran QB. Not sure if they resign either Fields or Wilson. Jets need a QB.
Titans would be wise to trade down from #1, pick up picks and put themselves with capital to get that QB in the better 26 draft.
