Logan Thompson made 25 saves, including 13 in the third period. One was a really wicked save in the 3rd too or else they would have tied the game.

I'll never diss Thompson again.

That one save was Holtby territory, he made a number of great saves late. We have a franchise QB and a franchise goaltender, the 2 most important positions in American sports. But man they have to play better, this is dangerous territory they are in right now.

Got a feeling that this is going to be a tough one.

We look good so far, they've let their foot off the gas a bit, but its been ok. Montreal was trying to play our game with hitting us hard, it wasn't working out for them and they were getting abused by the Caps for a while. I think MTL will try to avoid some contact from this point on.
