if the Eagles get Garrett its over. Can you imagine an O line having to block both Garrett AND Carter with elite CBs behind them?
It would be a soul withering combination of "depressing" and "nightmare" and I would feel hopes of our just recently brightened future dimming.
But if it helps anyone, I just finished listening to Ian Rappaport and the GMFB gang intelligently compile a very strong case as to why it's highly unlikely. I found the arguments very convincing, and not because I desperately want to.
Kyle Brandt asked if maybe Roger Goodell would step in like when David Stearn did as NBA commish and stopped the trade of a mega star (forgot the player, Chris maybe?) to an already star packed Lakers roster, saying "we have other teams that are trying to win too"
Added: next week GMFB and GMFB Overtime will be featuring a deep dive all week on free agents.

Garrett's contract also doesn't have a no-trade clause as far as I can tell, so if he refuses to play then the Browns can ship him anywhere. No way they'd send him to us or the Eagles if they can get multiple (likely) high 1st round picks vs. multiple (likely) low 1st round picks.
They could also send him to a shitty team just to be petty, since they know he wants to win a ring.

Fyi just started a thread in Around the League forum for trade news not involving the Commanders in any way. (First post has big news).

I must say, it’s good to see you Jumbo… hope all is well and cheers to making this site great as was Extremeskins…
Great to see you here, Love! Glad you found the place. Stick around, bud. I like to think of how much this place can grow and become it's own "internet legend"
Brave just posted in the Around the League forum's trade thread that DJ Metcalf is on the block.
I've really liked that for a long time. Living in SW Washington for years I see most Seahawks games when I want to. He's aged a bit but he's still a very potent weapon.
Deebo has a similar physicality to him but they're different receivers. DJ can stretch the field pretty good even if he's not a Greyhound/burner type but he is fast enough and big and his strength is great for shaking tackles and taking the ball in any contested catch.
