Myles Rice can't shoot, he is a downgrade from Gilespie but they need players. DHS to Georgetown, LOL at both of them.

Fear this will be a tough season for Buzz. Knew Gillespie was gone, and though DHS was dynamite in HS, that hasn’t translated to NCAA ball. I’m more upset about losing Palmer, as I think he has some talent. Would love to keep Rice, Gapare, and Pierce, but going into the portal almost assures they’ll leave. Losing Gapare and Pierce, along with the already known departures of Reese, Queen, and Geronimo will make it really difficult to put together a decent front court. Fingers crossed.

Buzz is a good guy, and a very solid coach. I was surprised that Maryland was able to snatch him away from Texas A&M, but I’m guessing Buzz felt he had a better chance with this program in the B1G than that program in the SEC. Buzz deserves at least as much rope as Willard, and should not be judged on how he does this next season…could be a long one for Terps supporters.

On the other hand, Brenda is off and running in the portal again. Maybe Buzz can learn a trick or two from her. IMO, she stands just behind Gary and Lefty in UMD basketball coaching lore.
