This week, Donald Trump began a global tariff spree, imposing a tax on imported goods from over 180 countries, sparking a global trade war, plummeting stock prices, and lowering 401(k)s.
These tariffs have already become highly controversial, with many Trump voters admitting they're feeling the negative impact and are questioning their support of Trump. Here's what MAGA voters are saying over on the r/LeopardsAteMyFace subreddit.

I don't have any sympathy for anyone who voted for Trump. I wish them all pain and suffering. Maybe they'll finally have a wake-up call.
I fully expect Trump to invoke the insurrection act after 4/20. Full on dictatorship begins.
He has his people in place. He wil use the military against the American people. They wil be sent into blue areas. Anyone who opposes him will be rounded up. All those camps being built to house illegals, are really for Americans who oppose him. 26 Elections, there won’t be any. Protesters will be arrested or just outright killed.
We are living in the final destruction of the USA as we knew her, before 1/20/25 and the majority voted for it. Trump will eventually come for those voters too.
I know some view this as being over the top and fantasy nightmare but not reality. We we are seeing that so called fantasy becoming reality.
They spent 4 years preparing for this. Project 25 is being implemented. Conservatives behind that, don’t believe in democracy and want the full dictatorship.
Cmon man...folks in his own party are helping to write a bill to take his tariff powers away...
And Dictatorship 101 says you need your military to like to pull it off...bruh the way he's he's gonna after the VA and DOGE was at the Pentagon the other day you really believe the military would pick him over the rest of us right now?
History says you can't piss off everyone and expect to remain in charge very long. Praetorian Guard says "what's up"...
He has militia groups he can depotize if the regular military doesn’t obey his orders. Plus, he can get NK or Russians troops to assist.
Even as some of his most loyal defenders jump ship, there is at least one constituency President Donald Trump can count on for support — Russian state media.
According to a translation from Daily Beast columnist Julia Davis — who monitors Russian State media — the analysts on the show The Evening With Vladimir Solovyov went wild for the Trump tariffs.
Among those to praise him was political scientist Dmitry Kulikov, who lauded Trump for wanting “to break everything” and mused that “It looks like the end of the global system is coming, the global system that is about fifty years old.”
“The price of goods will certainly go up in the United States,” Kulikov predicted. “The old political and economic global system is practically dead.”
Host Vladimir Solovyov added, “Trump destroyed the trust” — and called for a statue to be built in his honor.
“A monument should be erected to him,” Solovyov said. “This was a major blow to the system of capitalism …I think he deserves at least a Sutulov medal.”
One of president Donald Trump's nominees has been stressing out his staffers with his peculiar and highly specific requests.
Interior secretary Doug Burgum has placed unusual demands on his employees, four sources familiar with his leadership told The Atlantic, and his chief of staff JoDee Hanson reflected his idiosyncratic preferences by directing political appointees in his office to regularly bake chocolate chip cookies for the boss and his guests using industrial ovens at department headquarters.
"Some of the concerns have been elevated to senior White House officials, according to the sources," the magazine reported. "One person familiar with the behavior described Burgum as 'Doug the diva.' Three people said the concerns have been widely discussed among lower-level staff at the Department of Interior. Two people said political appointees in Burgum’s office have been seen crying because of the demands placed on them."
At least once, a political appointee was told to make the cookies again because their batch was subpar three sources said, and four sources claim office leadership once instructed political appointees to act as servers for a multicourse meal and dispatched a U.S. Park Police helicopter for Burgum's personal transportation – all of which Trump administration officials vehemently denied.
The U.S. government’s decision to arrest a Maryland man and send him to a notorious prison in El Salvador appears to be “wholly lawless,” a federal judge wrote Sunday in a legal opinion explaining why she had ordered the Trump administration to bring him back to the United States.
There is little to no evidence to support a “vague, uncorroborated” allegation that Kilmar Abrego Garcia was once in the MS-13 street gang, U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis wrote. And in any case, she said, an immigration judge had expressly barred the U.S. in 2019 from deporting Abrego Garcia to El Salvador, where he faced likely persecution by local gangs.
“As defendants acknowledge, they had no legal authority to arrest him, no justification to detain him, and no grounds to send him to El Salvador — let alone deliver him into one of the most dangerous prisons in the Western Hemisphere,” Xinis wrote.
She said it was “eye-popping” that the government had argued that it could not be forced to bring Abrego Garcia back because he is no longer in U.S. custody.
“They do indeed cling to the stunning proposition that they can forcibly remove any person — migrant and U.S. citizen alike —to prisons outside the United States, and then baldly assert they have no way to effectuate return because they are no longer the ‘custodian,’ and the Court thus lacks jurisdiction,” Xinis wrote. “As a practical matter, the facts say otherwise.”
The Justice Department has asked the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to pause Xinis’ ruling.
Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. on Monday temporarily blocked a trial judge’s order directing the United States to return a Salvadoran migrant it had inadvertently deported.
The chief justice, acting on his own, issued an “administrative stay,” an interim measure meant to give the justices some breathing room while the full court considers the matter. He ordered the migrant’s lawyers to file their brief on Tuesday.
The order came just hours after the administration asked the court to block the trial judge’s order directing the United States to return the migrant by 11:59 p.m. on Monday.
Judge Paula Xinis of the Federal District Court in Maryland had said the administration committed a “grievous error” that “shocks the conscience” by sending the migrant, Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, to a notorious prison last month.
In the administration’s emergency application, D. John Sauer, the U.S. solicitor general, said Judge Xinis had exceeded her authority by engaging in “district-court diplomacy,” because it would require working with the government of El Salvador to secure his release.
“If this precedent stands,” he wrote, “other district courts could order the United States to successfully negotiate the return of other removed aliens anywhere in the world by close of business,” he wrote. “Under that logic, district courts would effectively have extraterritorial jurisdiction over the United States’ diplomatic relations with the whole world.”
He said it did not matter that an immigration judge had previously prohibited Mr. Abrego Garcia’s deportation to El Salvador.

Yeah, it doesn't matter that the Trump administration broke the law. Who needs to follow court orders anyway?
A Diplomatic Security Service shift supervisor assigned to Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s protective detail was arrested by Belgian police at a Brussels hotel last Monday after arguing with hotel staff and fighting with responding police officers. Later that week, Rubio stayed in the same place, Hotel Amigo, while attending NATO’s foreign ministers meeting.
The DSS veteran, whose name the Washington Examiner is withholding, was a senior agent on the DSS advance party to Belgium. That protective advance party was responsible for securing the hotel and conducting final security preparations at the various sites in Brussels for Rubio’s visit.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, two sources with direct knowledge of the situation told the Washington Examiner that the agent in question was behaving erratically and became irate when hotel staff refused to reopen the bar beyond its normal hours. When staff, including the night manager, attempted to persuade the agent to return to his room, the agent became physically aggressive. Police were then called. The agent engaged in an altercation with numerous police officers, leading to his arrest. The agent was released from police custody later that day after intervention by the U.S. Embassy.

The only country that can cross the Atlantic or Pacific to invade or even help to invade another country is us right now.
And you think these cosplayin ya'llqada bammas are gonna do anything except elongated spirts of domestic terrorism against our military after spending 20 years of recent experience dealing with it in the middle east?
Put the GD call of duty game down, please.
No more ChatGPT for you.
The US military has the final say on whether this is gonna be a dictatorship or not, for better or worse. No one from the outside can help us or stop that, it's on us to stop it from getting to that point in the first place so it's not up to them.
A federal appeals court flipped on President Trump’s firings of two independent agency leaders, temporarily reinstating them Monday and likely setting up a battle at the Supreme Court.
In a 7-4 vote, the full U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit wiped a ruling from a three-judge panel on the court that sided with the government late last month by greenlighting Trump’s firings of Merit Systems Protection Board member Cathy Harris and Gwynne Wilcox, a member of the National Labor Relations Board.
Monday’s ruling clears the way for Harris and Wilcox to return to their posts, for now, though the Trump administration could now file an emergency appeal at the Supreme Court.
The cases are a key test of the Supreme Court’s 90-year-old precedent that upheld removal restrictions for multimember independent agency boards, which has been recently narrowed. The D.C. Circuit majority emphasized it is for the Supreme Court to decide whether to overrule its own decision, but the lower courts must follow it until then.

Now, I've said that the coup was going to fail a while ago, but that doesn't mean Trump is done trying. Everyone except for his inner most circle is turning against him, I'm sure his stupidity, dementia and paranoia are all running high. I wouldn't be shocked if he not only called martial law, but did it before 4/20. As I said, the coup part being successful is over, I'm now worried about mitigating the damage Trump is doing. If we do get a Dem in office next election, it would be nice if they didn't have to spend eight years getting us back to even.
I work around Trumpers, they're in hope mode at the moment. One said "Maybe it will work out" and I swiftly said "It won't". Its the only way they will learn...
A bit off topic, but do you guys the GOP will ever go with impeachment? Also, do you think Kamala should go at it again?
@Simmsy sounds like the trumpers you know are somewhere between anger and bargaining. Bless their hearts.
1. Brazil and South Korea showed how to shut that down since last time we talked about this (I'm more optimistic he doesn't get a 3rd term then how, honestly)
2. She should to keep conversation honest, but people need to stop running to be the "first" or jus beat Trump. If she can't she'll just be a distraction.
