I don’t know. If Maryland does the “right” thing, and sack Evans, they may get Willard to stay, provided he gets assurances that his program will get added NIL monies. They’ll be losing a good number of players this offseason, and will need that bump in cash to bring guys in through the portal. It’s not like Maryland doesn’t have a massive alumni base, and some pretty significant donors. Hopefully, this summer the NCAA will get their heads out of their collective asses, and institute a cap on yearly NIL money for all programs. Otherwise, we’ll be seeing the same 8-10 universities winning everything.
