Since a lot of them went over to bgoobsession, send them a pm if you’re there. I feel posting a thread that a successor to ES has been created on a competing board, maybe not the best thing. Bgo- welcomed the refugees with open arms. So, sending a pm; best way to inform them. You can tell who the esers are since many use the same name.

Also, on Reddit; it’s been posted about EC.

Just sending pm seems the way to go, if you are a member there, as ClaytoAli said he posted about our site and was given the boot.
Them deleting his post inviting old ESers here was kind of cold, if you ask me. The folks that started the Reddit page allowed BGO to pimp their site repeatedly. However, to each his own.

That said, be careful with that extremeskins link. The Tailgate has been replaced with something, 'er, not quite safe for work. ;)
The person that was inviting people to BGO on r/es_redskins has deleted their profile.

Hopefully we can get more members over here. I did not care for that other site BGO I think. This looks and feels more like home.
Still on for the ES Mock? :)

You all are talking about me. I had a Reddit account. I did 'pimp' BGO on the 'ES' Reddit page. That's because ES no longer existed. A ton of former Extremeskins members joined BGO. I was simply letting folks know we existed in case they were looking for a home. This 'forum' didn't exist at that time.

What I got in general was a bunch of snarky comments. That's fine. It's Reddit. It's what happens there. So I deleted my account. Life is short. No good deed goes unpunished, etc...

I never posted on this forum pimping/recruiting your members, or suggested folks message folks on other boards to try and recruit them. And I wouldn't. Even when we started BGO, we didn't go over to ES and openly recruit folks to leave the site. Because we had some class.

I don't know what I would've done if @Clay2Ali had actually had the courtesy to *ask* if we were cool with him letting BGO members know about this forum. He didn't ask. He just did it. It was rude and honestly most days I'd have just left it there, but it rubbed me the wrong way. We've been around since 2009 and have a lot of loyal members. If the 'new' ones, mostly from ES, want to migrate here, more power to them. But you should've asked before openly recruiting folks on another site.

Good luck with the site. We aren't 'competing' for God's sake. There are a ton of places for Washington fans to fan. And people are smart enough to know which ones are places they want to hang. Or not.

And @Clay2Ali, feel free to pm me if you want to discuss - I'm not able to pm you.

I suggested pm to board members at bgo to former esers, just to let them know that a successor to the former extremeskins board has been created and it’s done in a similar vein. I said it was probably not Best thing to just post a thread there. It’s best to pm them. That’s all.

One big difference is the tailgate and many liked that .

So, if they are interested; then can join here too.

Not to steal anyone, just letting them know.

I went to Reddit and the warpath.net . Still post on occasion at Reddit and I’m a regular now at warpath.

With this board now created, it will be my primary board and warpath my secondary board.

One thing I’ve noticed and seen former esers post, that the other boards just aren’t as busy.

If we just let former esers know, maybe they will come here also and maybe one day we can recreate what was lost.

I’m not asking anyone to choose one board over the other. Just informing of our existence and the user will decide which place is best for them.

I think you would be a little more understanding if the site you frequented for over 20 years was pulled from under your feet without warning. We are just trying to get our friends and crew back together. One post in a forum isn’t spamming your forums.

That's perfectly reasonable. The irony here is that, the guys who started BGO were original ES staff and owners. Maybe that's something that should be kept in mind when dealing with us. Seems like it might be? We are all fans and there is plenty of room for all of us on the interwebz.

Dude... I was an original mod on ES (apparently before your time). Every guy in our original BGO ownership group was a former staff member or owner of ES. The original founders of ES are personal friends of mine.

I'm not beating on you. You clearly don't know. It's all good. Just maybe make fewer assumptions.

Good luck with the site.

We are good my man, I still have love for BGO, TheWarpath, and the Reddit groups.
