S2 of Squid Games is pretty solid.
Spoiler
*** SPOILERS AHEAD ***
*admin edit, added spoiler feature*

Initially I hated that they followed own the somehwhat predictable path of having Seung re-enter the games, like they did in Hunger Games. However they didn't do it until the end of the second episode and had another plot outside the games

I wonder if the Man in the Mask (in-Ho) decides to spare Seung and let him continue, because "ratings" (which would be a simultaneous in-universe and out-of-universe explanation)
Yeah, I am with you on that one. Squid Games is a good show.

Read Three Body Problem (need a books thread) and binge watched both the Netflix version which takes a lot of liberties with the story, and the original Chinese version on Amazon Prime which is much, much longer (but cuts out any criticism of the revolution).

Also binge watched seasons 2 & 3 of Welcome to Wrexham. Although I’m very interested in the story and characters I found it a slog and think they did a very poor job with the pacing.

Liked Black Doves. Keira Knightley is always worth a watch, along with spy/thriller stuff.
I read the first installment of the Three Body Problem and in spite of the stilted dialog and overly long descriptions due I assume to poor translation, I loved it. However, the Netflix version cut through all that and distills the story down to the good stuff. It's rare, but it's better than the book for me.

The Netflix version apparently used ideas from Books 2 & 3, so it will be interesting to see how they handle that. I bought the books and need to read them, although it didn’t seem to be an issue seeing the Netflix version before the books.

Paramount+ has ended the Fraser revival after 2 seasons. The producers will try to find a new streamer to air a 3rd season. If they can’t, the show is done.

Watched the series premiere of Watson, after the afc championship. It’s a medical show but has Sherlock Holmes twists in it. No Sherlock, he appears to be dead and this show is about Watson . It was good enough for me to watch it. Series starts airing regularly on Feb. 16.
