There used to be a rule not allowing players to push/drag other players to gain yardage. It was taken out of the rulebook I believe in the early 2000s but I'm not completely sure on the exact specifics.

Everything still sucks. I know this team exceeded expectations. The other part knows if Jayden had just a bit more help with his running backs and a defense that could stop the run…..what could’ve been.
This team was this close of going into the half possibly in a tie. Then the fumble.

It used to be against the rules to push the player with the ball from behind. They changed the rule in 2005. It would be pretty simple to go back to the old rule. The Eagles QB sneak would still be very effective, but you wouldn't get the effect of the other players coming and pushing him.

It's really more of a kneel down than a QB sneak. The way two people are lined up just behind the QB to help push him over the line makes it different than a QB sneak.
