Still have to hit the ball in order to get it out the park.
Why I still believe Bonds should be in the HOF despite the steroid scandal....it's one thing to be scared he'll hit it into the bay, but man, it was damn near impossible at one point to stop him from hitting the ball in the 1st place period.
A bat can help you hit a hr, but hitting a ball coming from a professional pitcher in the first place is still one of the hardest things to do, imo.
I watched first two games of the Yankees-Brewers series, it wasn't like we were all over them opening day. But at some point in that series, we were. Brewers are losing pitchets to injury left and right, if they weren't homeruns, they would've been hits for sure.
MLB changes their mind on the bats after saying they legal, I really don't care. But that was a perfect storm of a first series given our hitting is more spread out on our roster and Brewers jus didn't have any arms left to stop it. Even felt that way in what I saw from the 3rd game.

Personally I think the hubbub is dumb on the torpedo bats. That said, I do kind of agree that it allows bad hitters (at the time) who are consistently get jammed some advantage.
I don't see anything coming from it though. MLB stopped caring about well pitched games when they sold out strategy wise for the HR or nothing style and adopted the DH for both leagues.

Soto didn't look worth that money tonight.
I hate to say this, but has to be asked...we're Nationals right not to keep him once he was the last star left?
It wasn't like he was tearing it up the year he was traded to San Diego.
I want to believe if he was still in front of Judge that'd be a massive 1-2 punch...but I've been wrong before.
