Yep. They could have had to give up a future first to jump 20 spots like the Falcons did. That is a pretty crazy risk to take for James Pearce. The Falcons were desperate to try and address their pass rush issues.Conn wrote: Thu Apr 24, 2025 11:02 pmGiants fans should be thankful even though Dart is a likely bust. Desperate GM/HC on the hottest of hot seats, no QB. They got “their guy” without giving up a future 1 or 2, they got off super easy with this. Could’ve been a LOT worse for Giants fans

Honestly, once I saw it, it didn't bother me.Jumbo wrote: Thu Apr 24, 2025 8:10 pmMathews takes a dump on the evening right away with a very stupid joke (which I will not expand on since we don't discuss political matters in here).
I had no idea who we would take in the 1st, I heard a lot of talk of trading back or getting a RB. I'm glad we got a big, fat boring OL pick to start. The flashy picks are over and done with when it comes to this team.

Shedeur is good. But he's small, not very fast, and has an ego that makes Cam Newton seem shy and humble. I 100% understand why teams weren't interested in taking on his ego and his circus in the first round. He needed to be built like Cam Newton for the NFL to overlook his warts.
That dude needed a reality check in the worst way, but I doubt this did it for him. He's the same kind of relentlessly self promoting and delusional shit head as his dad, but without the speed and charisma.
The Hell of it is, I actually like him on the field. He's creative, poised, super accurate, efficient, sees the whole field and manages pressure really well. The irony is if he didn't have the Sanders last name and didn't come with the Sanders personality and circus, I bet he would have gone in the first round.

If anyone was left with faith in that GM, they long since have walked out the building now. Poor Falcons fans, good lord.GoingCommando wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 4:50 amYep. Depends what you mean by good. Shadeur would go in most QB classes in round 2, at the latest early round 3. His problem, at least to me, is there isn't a lot of ceiling there, he's more like a Bridgewater, Geno Smith, Jimmy Clausen, Rock Lobster kind of moderate floor, low ceiling guy who is never going to be great, you're just aiming for probably a mid to poor man's Andy Dalton. He got hype because of his dad and because he's a good college QB, but he isn't a great QB prospect, just a solid one. I would guess in any average class, his grade would probably slot wise be somewere between 25 and 70 minus the dad related stuff.Warhead36 wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 10:25 amShadeur just isn't that good. If his last name was like Robinson he'd be a 3rd round pick.
Jalen Milroe might legit go before Shadeur which would just be insane to me because I personally think Milroe is complete garbage.
