Looks like some teams are proposing to change the playoff setup in the rules so that if a wildcard team has a better record than a division winner, the wildcard team will be ranked higher in the playoff seeding.

If that scenario existed last season, Washington would've hosted a home game against Green Bay.

Do you like the proposal?

They are also considering banning the "tush push" and eliminating automatic first downs for defensive holding.

And other proposals.

1. Leave the seeding alone! Soon they'll want to have it based solely on record, we'll get to see the same teams over and over. Anyways, if you win your division, you should be rewarded. If you want to be rewarded...win your division.

2. Get rid of it or make it less insanely advantageous for the offense. You can't be allowed to push if the defense can't push. The tush push has to be reported before the play and no forward progress will be allowed. The whistle has to be blown to call the play dead after a specific amount of time if there is no movement. You don't get to push for ten seconds.

3. Banning auto firsts for defensive holding is a weird one, I'm not sure if I feel one way or the other about it. Put it in play, lets see how it goes, I guess.

I agree on the seeding.
It looks cool on paper, and would seem pretty obvious. But that doesn't take into account division teams. Some divisions are way tougher than others, a fact that we know more than anybody else in the league, as our division used to be known as NFC Beast.

The Pats used to have great division scores while facing crappy Jets, Dolphins & Bills teams for years. So I don't think that's fair from this point of view.

Onto the hottest topic of the offseason, the tush push? Well it's been forbidden up until recently to push players from behind. That was fine back then. I still haven't understood why they allowed it. It obviously favorise offense more than defense because D is playing backward. So that's unfair.

And I like the remove of holding and illegal contact 1st down penalty. Like Simmsy, I'd like to see how it goes live. Give it a try, you want offense to get 1st down playing football, not forcing penalties.
