Funny how everything has to be picking a team and all the baggage with it on any particular topic. Easier to shot a fish once you put it in a barrel you're familiar with.

@Spaceman Spiff you and my Dad must of been carpool buddies and still text each other.

He stands no matter what that Prime Jordan is better then Prime LeBron and he'll always be better because of it no matter how many career boxed get checked.

Too early to say Prime Joker is better, but I'm listening. That doesn't mean either will have a better overall career then LeBron or still playing at this level in their 40s.

BTW, I watched Celtics scrape them Lakers last night, that was sad, but doesn't change my position we laughing about now.
That's right, pops and I do text and he and I see eye to eye on Jordan.

Marveling at LeBron playing at this level into his 40s is a bit overrated. Note that I didn't say it was bad, or that he's bad...just that it's overrated. Every generation or so you get a guy in any sport who plays forever and does it at a high level. Kareem was still good into his late 30s. Nolan Ryan struck out 300 batters at age 42 and then lead the league in strikeouts at age 43. Ovechkin is 39 and about to break a record that no one thought was possible, he's still scoring goals at an amazing clip. Tom Brady, enough said.

With sports medicine the way it is and treatments constantly evolving, you're going to see more of this stuff.

But let's get back to Jordan and dunking on LeBron...in his last season in the NBA, Jordan played in all 82 games and played 37 minutes per game. That'd be top 5 this year and most every year.

Jokic is only in the conversation if you don't care about defense. NBA fans too much get caught up in offense.

Lebron in his prime could legitimately guard 1-5 and most nights no matter which position you put him at he would have been the best defender at his position on his team. He was making NBA finals where he was no matter what position you played him at, on offense and defense he was better than the team's starter. The only people close to being able to say something similar was Magic and Giannis, and I don't think it's really true for either of them.

Jordan at least was a fantastic defender for a guard. Jokic is only a good defender in that he's so big.

(In terms of Embiid/Jokic: Embiid was easily the better defender when he was healthy. Even if he wasn't the offensive player that Jokic was, his defense easily made up the difference. Embiid probably should have won it the year before he did. Most of the better stats that capture total player value, including defense have Embiid better through the 2021/22 season. Though there is certainly an argument that Giannis should have won it that year over Embiid and Jokic. There's 2.5 years where Embiid is better than Jokic. They gave him the MVP the year he's only better for about 1/2 the year.)

First game back from injury and Jokic drops a 40-bomb triple double.

MVP.

There has to be more to the story. He's a good coach.

Word on the street was Ja wasn't happy with his role in the offense.

They also lost 6 of their last 8 games, so probably reached a boiling point.

Not to defend it, I'm sick of players having more power then the coaches.
