Fwiw Elonald was perfectly happy crashing the government with no budget. That left the Democrats to be thanklessly the responsible Party and ensure the government stays funded.

When you're presented with 2 bad options, I generally think you choose the less worse one. But I get why some in the Party would stand on their principles and no vote a bad budget to ensure a government shutdown.

How does one ever win a Mexican standoff?

I will say, when the boomerang of American politics returns home and the Democrats have control of the House (prob in 2 years at this epic bloodbath pace), there is going to be a LOT of payback coming. And it's going to be fucking glorious.

What world do you live in? Democrats won’t do shit. The previous trump administration shat on democracy and they came right back to make it even worse. They’re the ones making us pay. They’re destroying DC and this CR is just another blow.

I think you're going to see a big turnover in the DNP. We have many less than desirable traits, but we don't forget and we do hold our own accountable to a fault. In the meantime...I'm going to play my Xbox.

Dems aren’t a lock to win in 26. The gop may get thrown out but people aren’t going to rush to Dems.

They will either vote 3rd party or they will say neither has done anything and stay home. If that happens in large enough numbers; gop could retain control.

Both the Dem and gop , just need to die.

Now is the time to form 3rd parties, who can win chunk a of congress in 26 and then put up a presidential candidate in 28.

I don’t care about people that voted for Trump. I didn’t vote for this. I didn’t vote for any voting member of congress and me and my family are about to get fucked by all of them.

Also fuck Schumer and the feckless democrats with no fucking backbone.
I get the AOC, House progressives, and a wide swath of Dem voters feeling anger and frustration about the idea of Dems actually "voting for" this gop shit show o a bill.

But I consider the boogey-man that Schumer (and I am far away from being any kind of Schumer fan) and a few others are raising is real and even more dangerous than the ugly choice of voting not for the bill per set but to keep the govt open.

The potential for much more serious DOGE and executive order damage during a shutdown seems valid to me.
The courts seem to be doing a decent job of keeping doge and trump at bay. I don’t see democrats doing anything about anything.

My children’s school and my wife’s job will lose 1.1 billion dollars in funding.

That is absolutely devastating to us and our neighbors in the district.
I think the Senate fixed the issue with freezing DC funding?
