I'm a bit surprised they're putting Metcalf on the block after Deebo only netted a 5th round pick. Metcalf is a bit younger than Deebo at 27, but he also only had a decent but not great season last year so I doubt they're under the illusion that they'll get a huge haul for him.Jumbo wrote: Wed Mar 05, 2025 2:28 pmBrave just posted in the Around the League forum's trade thread that DJ Metcalf is on the block.
I've really liked that for a long time. Living in SW Washington for years I see most Seahawks games when I want to. He's aged a bit but he's still a very potent weapon.
Deebo has a similar physicality to him but they're different receivers. DJ can stretch the field pretty good even if he's not a Greyhound/burner type but he is fast enough and big and his strength is great for shaking tackles and taking the ball in any contested catch.
I'd probably give up a 3rd for him, but might be talked into a 2nd.
