The bizarre thing to me about the quick exit was what the hell was dude expecting? This place came into being specifically to put the band back together, most of us have the same handles we did on ES, and dude shows up expecting 4Chan or something.🙄 It would be funny if it wasn’t indicative of where the country is.

I don't mind having the conservative voices argue from their point of view - usually people can find compromise somewhere in the middle since I think most people from ES are center or center-left with their views. Instead, he just spouted off drive-by nonsense that was easily countered with simple research.

I'm pretty much just to the right of Atilla the Hun so I guess I'm an outlier. That said, (with the exception of the occasional meme posted on FB to stir the pot), I rarely engage in political, or religious discussions, and definitely not on social media. There's nothing that I can say that will convince anybody, nor do I care to do so. When I hear people spewing hate & vitriol, I keep my mouth shut. It's not that I'm sticking my head in the sand, it's just that I've lost too many people that I love over the past couple of years so it's a pointless endeavor. I don't care to waste what precious time I have left doing so. You youngsters can have it...

Even if I were so inclined, I wouldn't dip my right-leaning toes in the waters around here. 8-)
I do browse the political threads, because they're educational and informative, (and hit the "like" button occasionally), but that's about the extent of it.

Now I will take a stand on couple of things that are really important to me, as my posting history will attest, food and whiskey!

Oh....and I do enjoy seeing so many familiar names!

I noticed the website some times ago. And was, OK? Let's see how it goes, never felt interested in any other site other than ES.
