The World Cup should pull out of the U.S. next year as most of the matchups are in the U. S. , though some are in Canada and Mexico.

Why should the non axis world come to the U.S.?

I’d like to move the 28/34 Olympics too but that won’t happen but the non axis countries should Boycott those Olympics and hold an alternate competition for their athletes.
Cmon man...

How many winter games have been held in China or Russia recently?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winter_Olympic_Games

How many corrupt ass middle eastern countries are getting the world cup these days?

People aren't used to used no longer pretending to be the good guy...but plenty of bad guys get these games anyway.

I kinda think Zelensky should just sign the mineral rights bribe and secure our help. We will need to move a bunch of equipment and we will need troops there to protect it.

Sort of like how we have troops in SK to deter NK.

RE: world cup and 28 olympics

I think the better argument is that the USA doesn't have an adequate mass transit infrastructure to host these events. We have a good but crumbling highway system that is already max cap in major cities and we've ignored transit while building it. That's why cities like Paris and London can host these events without stressing their existing working population too much.

Who is to say that Trump would even acknowledge the deal. Besides, I don't think they need our help and soon the rest of the world will realize that too. Our power and influence in the world is disappearing.

Feels very mafia-ish to me. I know Elonald likes to think of themselves as mafia dons..but I don't think the US should require strip mining Ukraine to protect them from Russian invasion.

I agree with you they shouldn’t have too but the reality is they need weapons from someone and Europe isn’t stepping up and the US is stepping away from its traditional role over the last 50 years.

Historically, war was a way to obtain resources so from that point of view I agree we need to recoup our costs for providing military aid. On the other hand, having a democratic friend in Ukraine as a buffer from Russia for Europe has enormous value in helping aid US hegemony which obviously Trump doesn’t understand and is undervaluing.

Some people I used to work with clinically are saying they have clients/patients dealing with what seems like widespread regression in the price reductions of the last couple years. I'm retired so I am hearing this, not having to deal with myself. ☹️

That townhall in Georgia is the point of no return, its the only thing that will save us from violence in the streets. Having maga angry, screaming and squeezing their representatives is the only way the GOP will stop bowing to Trump. If you think he's going to listen and follow any court order, you're SOL. Even if it gets to the SCOTUS, they'll either fold or he'll ignore it. Remember, the republican party isn't afraid of Trump, they're afraid of Trump supporters and they've already tried to kill him twice last year.

That townhall also lets other trumpers know that the feeling is betrayal is real and warranted. You should've seen the look on my boss' face when I told him he wouldn't be getting social security and broke the grift down to him. Poor bastards, but its the only way they'll learn.

And yet just two days ago Trump said in a press interview SS wasn't going to be touched, and it's the program that needs it most
