It was a brutal loss today, but even in the moment when we were getting beaten up, I never felt ashamed of this team. I'm not going to try and cope with the loss by telling myself that we'll be back soon. None of us know if we'll get back here. But no matter what the future holds, this was a team to be proud of. Just a bunch of good dudes who seem like genuine friends having a magical season playing together. A lovable head coach who gives me Joe Gibbs vibes. A sensational QB who makes you feel like the sky is the limit. I know the wheel turns and players and coaches move on, but I hope most of these guys are back next year. And I hope the new guys we bring in are also dog-ass competitors, and that we can continue building this program without having to sacrifice character for talent.

Just want to say thank you to the 2024 Commanders. It was the most fun I've ever had watching this franchise, and I'm genuinely grateful for the positive experiences they brought me this year.

We did the unexpected.

Got past 10 wins, going 12-5.

Won in playoffs, first since 2005; by going 2-1.

Won 2 road playoff games, something we never did.

Found our franchise QB.

Bring everyone back? Uh no. We need to upgrade at many positions. Need to fix both lines first; or we aren’t going anywhere. I could see an overhaul; almost big as last year.

Tonight’s loss was disappointing but we know once we surround Jayden with the talent; we’ll be contending. Tonight showed we just don’t have the pieces yet and all our weaknesses showed up tonight.

Can’t wait to get rid of those underperforming bums and find better players in free agency and draft.

Every offseason is a big one and this one won't be different.

AP brought in a lot of dudes on one year deals who performed relatively well. Which ones will be brought back will be an interesting call.

Bringing them all back will require rasies that cut into cap space. Letting them all walk creates a lot of holes in the roster.

Wagner, Chinn, Ertz, Fowler and Dyami have a chance to come back I believe. I think Mariota will be back as the backup too. Some need to go like St Juste, Wylie and the expensive DTs will need to restructure or might get cut loose.

Improvements at RB, OT and everywhere on the defense will certainly be looked at. Another WR could be too. Good luck AP.

Well said and agree 100%. I've been a fan since '99 and this was by far the most fun I've ever had. I'll take 5 months of joy over having to read mock drafts in November EVERY time.

I want to take a pulse here from you all. Was it better that we lost in the NFC Champ game instead of losing in the SB? Which would have been less painful.

I think losing in the NFC game was better but losing to the Eagles was more painful though. Wish it had been LA though. That would have stinged less.

If you are going to the SB then you need to win that one. We were not ready for a SB win this year. It was a great run and something to build towards now since the team was so close.

Thoughts?

Super Bowl. A blowout loss to Chiefs or Bills would have stung but we would have made history. Rookie QB playing in Super Bowl and that alone would take away the sting of losing; even a blowout loss.

Na I'd much rather lose in the Super Bowl. Then you can still say you got to to the Super Bowl, participate in the media week, all the festivities etc.

Incredible season. It was a true joy to witness, at every level of the organization.

I’m already dreading the long wait until we can watch the encore.

I haven’t felt this way since Joe Gibbs team beat the Bills in 92. I was just a kid. 8-)

Secretly wanted a rematch with the Bills in the Superbowl this year. This team almost pulled it off. :o
