Vibes are still high.

The Washington Commanders wrapped up their veteran minicamp Thursday, then kicked off their six-week break with a family cookout. Team owners Josh Harris, Mitchell Rales and Mark Ein, as well as team president Mark Clouse, were on hand to watch the final practice and socialize afterward.

But what was, in a sense, a celebratory beginning was also a bow on top of a months-long reset after the team reshaped its roster with an eye toward a deeper run this season. Here’s what we learned about the team — and what remains unanswered.

The O-line has a chance to be pretty good.
It’s easy to say that now. The earliest test of the offensive line’s ability won’t come until August, when Washington has a joint practice with the New England Patriots in Foxborough, Massachusetts, ahead of the preseason opener.

Washington invested heavily in remaking its line, first trading for Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil, then selecting tackle Josh Conerly Jr. out of Oregon in the first round of the draft.
