Re: Draft thread

Looking at last year's draft, one thing I noticed is that AP likes older and more experienced prospects.

Seven of our nine picks were 23 at the time of the draft (although McCaffery turned 23 like three weeks before).

Only Sinnott and Newton were 22 when drafted, with both turning 23 within a ...

Re: Draft thread

I believe if there is a decent offer. we will trade down. I am not optimistic.

Yeah, it's both a potentially good spot to be in and a potentially bad one.

Potentially good because if a guy falls to that point and some team with a high 2nd round pick liked the player but didn't want to take ...

Re: Draft thread

Coming in exclusively from a dynasty perspective for the most part.

My objective:
If Hampton is there at 1.29 (he won't be), I'd take him over anything else to settle our RB position. If not I take Judkins or trade down. I fear they want overage Trey Henderson.

In terms of potential WR targets ...

Re: Draft thread

Watts had a meh Pro-Day: 4.56 40, 35" vertical, 9'10" broad. Not bad numbers, but not anything that will get him noticed. Kyle Hamilton ran a little slower, but he had better jumps and size so his RAS was still elite. Even still, you have to acknowledge that his 40 time probably dropped him like ...

Re: Draft thread

Good god almighty. 6'6 464 pounds, and that's not a typo? Refrigerator Perry was 6'3 335...he was a freakin' midget compared to this kid. That said, even though he's clearly athletic for his size, there's probably zero chance he has the conditioning to be anything close to that weight and still make ...

Re: Draft thread

Yep, if you watched a Notre Dame game sometime in the past two seasons, you heard a lot of gushing about Watts. He was the best player in the field for Notre Dame in most of their games. I'm a little surprised he feels so undervalued, but I also see it as a major opportunity for late ...

Re: Draft thread

I've watched Watts plenty in real time. And he had plenty of hype among college broadcasts, etc. Surprised not as much with mock drafters, Maybe because the in vogue safeties as far as hype seem to be the hybrid big nickle type or hybrid slot-FS. And Watts doesn't fit really either category ...

Re: Draft thread

The Edge class is just so volatile. Carter will go top 5 (and even he I'm not 100% sold on as a slam dunk, i.e. Chase Young was a better prospect) but after that you have a bunch of guys that could literally go anywhere from 10-32. For example I've seen Mike Green mocked as high as Chicago at 12 ...

Re: Free Agency and Trades thread

Yeah I think it's probably safe to say that any signing now (outside of trades) is going to be purely for depth and won't really be moving the needle much.

Re: Free Agency and Trades thread

Kupp is off the table. He signed with Seattle.

I think Kupp would have been a good addition, but I'm assuming we weren't especially into giving him a multi-year deal right now, given his injury history. I'm sure we ...
