Re: Welcome to the Commanders Trey Amos, DB Ole Miss
This pick I don't like that much. Defense needs to start up front and our front is still weak. With the Eagles stopping the run is going to be key for the foreseeable future and against every other team, rushing the QB is king.
I think some of the DL that were there are going to be good players ...

Re: UDFA thread
Brugler on the DB Cypress, 34th amongst his CB's:
"A three-star recruit, Cypress signed with Virginia and had a breakout fourth season in 2022. He transferred to Florida State for his final two seasons and posted 12 passes defended over 23 starts. Cypress is a height-length-speed prospect with the ...

Re: The 2025 NFL Draft Thread
Pretty much not a big fan of anything from day 3, but I do have to credit a grand strategy in place with the late 4th, 6th and 7th rounders they had to play with.
Every single pick was a mega athlete, or at least bare minimum, strong athlete positionally. Lane, the LB out of UCLA (who has the worst ...

Re: The 2025 NFL Draft Thread
Right? It's just crazy. The only kind of rope I'm willing to give him is that you hear all the time in the news about players selling jersey's to stars in some fashion, a punter, or backup WR, giving the star the # in exchange for like, a sweet car, or some ridiculous Jordans or cash or whatever ...

Re: The 2025 NFL Draft Thread
On a side note, apparently Abdul Carter asked LT to let him unretire 56.
No offense to Carter, but GTFO of here. LT remains, almost certainly the greatest defensive player in the history of the game. Carter is out of his mind, and it was an egregiously stupid way to start his Giants career. There ...

Re: The 2025 NFL Draft Thread
Great landing spot for him.
800 year old Joe Flacco
Watson's contract while he's glued to the bench (2 years)
Kenny Pickett well predicted (certainly from me) career nose dive post mega overdrafting.
Whomever Dillon Gabriel is.
Sanders should take that job before the end of '25. Maybe by the ...

Re: The 2025 NFL Draft Thread
Not a fan in terms of 4th round draft capital. Simply too expensive for a PR, slot who is more gadget at least right now than anything. Better RB's available, man I wonder if the edge run right in front of the pick changed our target? Hit rate for WR's 5th round and later is miniscule, and this guy ...

Re: The 2025 NFL Draft Thread
My guys, Giddens, Sampson and Smith
The brass supposedly likes Blue.
Elic is great at WR.
I don't know these Edges beyond Sawyer who I don't really love, but who is a value at this point too.

Re: The 2025 NFL Draft Thread
1 Annoying thing:
Frustrating to see the Cowboys finally bouncing back with a great draft. 3 Picks, and they all felt like home runs, an OL stud, a legit edge we wanted, and a favorite DB of a lot of us. OUCH.
1 heartening thing.
I don't think the Giants are drafting well. I can't see Dart being ...

Re: Welcome to the Commanders Trey Amos, DB Ole Miss
Loved the Amos pick especially in that range. Keim when taking Hairston for the ESPN special said he knows they like Amos too, it could be either one if they went CB. I preferred Hairston but also liked Amos.
When watching him, my thoughts were Carlos Rogers but with ball skils. I got to rewatch ...
