Re: The Baltimore Orioles Thread

After an absolute dumpster fire of a start, it's nice to turn the page and see some watchable baseball.

Hopefully they can inch back up to .500 and get in the mix for a wildcard.

Re: Life in Post Democracy Era: The Trump 2/Elon Dictatatorship

This breakup is entertaining, sure. It’s a circus, like the first time around but worse. Hell, the German leader fiasco earlier this week is already forgotten.

But it’s definitely mixed with sadness for what we don’t have in office right now. We just have this abomination polluting our government ...

Re: Life in Post Democracy Era: The Trump 2/Elon Dictatatorship

How can someone dedicated to the law ever allow the President to destroy the rule of law?

Even conservatives like the ones he nominated should be looking at what comes next after Trump leaves office or dies.

Re: The Baltimore Orioles Thread

The White Sox are not good, but it was nice to see some solid pitching performances from our starters.

Cowser and Westburg about to come back should help the offense.

Our Birds are definitely buried in the standings, but at would be nice to at least play some decent baseball and not have this be ...

Re: The Baltimore Orioles Thread

Yea, Renegade7 , with Bradish being out until "July,' the hope was with a good offense and pen, they could get by with a rotation of:

Eflin
Rodriguez
Kremer
Sugano
Morton
with Povich and Suarez as swing/long arms. Suarez was huge for this team last year, BTW.

They knew the rotation would not be ...

Re: The Baltimore Orioles Thread

Orioles fired Hyde.

He was a good manager who held things together through the rebuild, but the terrible start after the sluggish second half last year was too much, I guess.

Re: The Baltimore Orioles Thread

It may be time to fire Hyde…

Would be kinda harsh after two successive playoff years and all the injuries we've had at pitching.

Yea, I’m probably just venting.

But the team was not good in the second half last year after starting the season as the best team in baseball. Something has ...

Re: The Baltimore Orioles Thread

As much as getting Eflin helps, it's really nice that the offense is showing some signs of life that isn't just O'Hearn.

I believe in the back of the baseball card when it comes to some of our bats. especially with Cowser and Westburg on the IL, then need to get it going.
